Now for something different, an early neon glow lamp, these were made for show window displays and would advertise the shop or products. Attributed to luminon france this is a very rare survivor, which is a one off, still in its original wooden housing with its original fixtures, fittings and wiring. This would of hung in the window or above a doorway. Rewired and working well, it emits a warm enticing glow. Whist rewiring it has the original date handwritten on the electrode inside the glass tube 12/7/1937. This is not a neon, it predates that, when companies were experimenting with incandescent bulbs. A truly stunning advertising piece which you won't see another, one for a true collector.
