Original Hovis Sign SOLD!

A large original antique advertising sign for 'Hovis' Bread.
A wonderful & exceptionally original sign, the pressed tin letters mounted on the original metal back-boards supported by their original iron strap-work to the rear. Both the gilt painted lettering and green back-boards have a beautiful age related colour & totally untouched patina as a result of their many years mounted outside a bakery.
These signs would have been wall mounted outside bakeries assigned with making the Hovis loaves using Hovis flour supplied by the company.
These came from an old building in Ipswich.
